Improvement Suggestion: Extending filetype domain to animated gif territory!

I'm not sure how this code interacts with animated gifs, so I forked it! I'm going to mess with that and see if I can build that ability! Would you be cool with a PR?

EDIT: I should add! I identified hard with the README.md... it's not easy for people like us :(
