simple-web-hdfs is a proxy on top of Hadoop HDFS. It is intended to be used with older versions of HDFS (0.20.2 for the moment)
simple-web-hdfs is built with maven (http://maven.apache.org/). To build from the command line:
mvn clean install
Unpack simple-web-hdfs and cd to the root. Edit conf/jetty.properties and set hdfs.host and hdfs.port to point to your Hadoop HDFS cluster. Then
cd bin
./startup.sh
