After have added the MP³ folder and its subfolders to your Matlab path, you can launch the software by typing MP3
in the Matlab Command Window. A graphical interface like the one above appears on your screen.
This window is the Viewer. It's the main window of MP3. There, you will be able to visualize all of your data, to draw Regions Of Interest (ROIs), to manage your database or to display statistics. But first, let's import you data in order to create your database.
In the File
menu, select Import data
and Import Raw Data
.
First of all, you you do not have any project open, you will have to select a folder to store your new project. This folder will includes all data imported (and converted to nifti/json files as well as all processed data, region-of-interest, processes ....). It is recommended to create a new folder with the name of your project and to select it.
Once done, this will launch the Converter window:
The converter's function is to convert your data in Nifti + Json. The Nifti file contains the images and the Json file stores the metadata related to the images. Click on the format of your data you want to add to your project (Bruker, DICOM, Philips or Nifti) and select the folder where your data are currently stored. Each of your studys stored in this folder are now listed. You can explore them, and briefly visualize each sequence and the metadata related.
Select one or several studies, or sequences, then right click on them and select Add to basket
.
When all the data you want to import is added to the basket, click on the Basket
tab and click on the button Export in MP3
.
A popup will be displayed at the end of the conversion and for each imported session, you will be able to modify the names of the subject and the timepoint relative to the session to import.
After that, the importation is terminated and your MP3 project (containing its database and the imported data) is saved !
One can immediately work with it since the project is already opened.
To open an existing project, click on the File
menu, select Open a project
, and select the folder containing your project, as defined as the importation.
