This is a wrapper-function to call cs2cs from GNU Octave or Mathworks Matlab.
Cs2cs performs transformation between the source and destination cartographic coordinate system on a set of input points. The coordinate system transformation can include translation between projected and geographic coordinates as well as the application of datum shifts.

Arguments are passed to the binary of cs2cs using temporary files. This may be slow for too many function calls.
Linux: Please install the package proj-bin which contains cs2cs:
aptitude install proj-bin
Windows: The binaries of cs2cs are shipped with this release.
