It seams that the first callback is never call. Something like this was supposed to be fixed in 0.6.15

I'm seeing the same or a similar issue with fs.readFile() and also when using stream.pipe(). In both cases the callback (or 'end' event in case of pipe) are not always being called it seems. I have this issue at different places throughout my application. For the most part I use fs.readFile() in a way similar to what is outlined above. And I also see it in the connect static middleware where it is piping to the response: https://github.com/senchalabs/connect/blob/master/lib/middleware/static.js#L223

It does not happen all the time but often enough to be an issue.

Works for me with master and the latest 0.6. Please retest and let me know if it's still failing for you.

The bug is still present on Node 0.6.16 on Mac OS X 10.7.3

@louis-martin I will have to ask you to debug it because I can't reproduce the issue. Are you using the installer, brew, source build?

I have used the installer for Mac : node-v0.6.16.pkg
