Console.log and others are already optimized (it is actually using util.inspect, which is the main cost). There is likely still room for improvement in a few cases while I don't think this warrants a tracking issue. I am therefore going to close this.

This issue becomes a task for us in improvement planning.

@mertcanaltin code can almost always be optimized. The referenced blog post is not applicable to Node.js core and if you have anything concrete, please go for it. We have too many open issues to have a tracking issue for something that does not seem to be an issue in Node.js core and without concrete things that should be done.

We are opening it up to raise issues and connect them. I also think the discussion should remain open to achieve concrete results. If improvement were not possible, I agree that closing it would be healthy, as you said.
