CTC membership nomination: @thefourtheye #8558
Comments
+1000 this is an awesome idea and I'm excited to see it happen. Ever since @thrfourtheye has been made a collaborator (and before) his dedication and consistent contribution has been inspiring. The project is lucky to have him and so would the CTC. Let's make this happen. |
LGTM! |

Not a CTC member but as part of the community I feel good knowing he was nominated and hopefully soon a part of it! 👍 |
Should this be tagged ctc-agenda? |
We usually invite nominees to attend as observers for a handful of meetings before putting the nomination on the agenda for a vote. So no need to tag it yet. |

@nodejs/ctc If you don't think you'll make the next meeting (and even if you think you will!), please leave your vote (yes or LGTM / no / abstain) here. Thanks! |

+1 from me, although I think I've only had the pleasure of being in one meeting at the same time as @thefourtheye so far |

Welcome to the CTC, @thefourtheye! 🎉 |
@thefourtheye Would you like to do the honors of opening a Pull Request to move your entry from "Collaborators" to "Core Technical Committee" in the README doc? |
Whoops! Never mind! I see Rod already opened it! |
A majority of CTC members would like to propose adding @thefourtheye (Sakthipriyan Vairamani) to join as a voting member of the CTC. Sakthipriyan has demonstrated versatility and commitment on a number of aspects of the Node.js project and has been the most active non-CTC contributor to core over the last 6 months.
This is a public nomination process, if there are objections from @nodejs/collaborators to this nomination then feel free to speak up, although it may be more sensitive to do so in private by emailing a member of the CTC you are comfortable with.
Equally, we understand that there are other @nodejs/collaborators who work very hard and contribute a great deal of value to the project and we would like to continue to evolve the CTC to ensure it is representative of the majority of technical effort put in to Node and has a diverse enough base of opinions, perspective and technical skill areas to be able to make effective decisions regarding the future of Node. Therefore, even though we continue to assess and discuss additional candidates, we welcome input from collaborators on this process, if you think there are individuals that are making significant technical contribution who would add new perspectives or skills to the CTC please contact a CTC member that you are comfortable with to discuss it further. The CTC should not be a static group and should be both adding and shedding members to ensure its relevance.
