Workshop outline

• 30 mins presentation: covering principles of data visualisations (based on royal-statistical-society.github.io/datavisguide).
• Exercise 1 (10 mins): in groups, discuss an example chart and suggest how to improve it. Feed back to the room.
• Exercise 2 (15 mins): Take the code that produces the example chart and edit the code to improve the chart.
• Exercise 3 (20 mins+): BYOC (or use some #TidyTuesday data).

Packages required

Attendees should have access to R, and the following packages:

• medicaldata
• ggplot2
