CL term

photoreceptor cell

Suggested revision of logical definition

EquivalentTO: neuron
and ('capable of' some 'detection of light stimulus involved in sensory perception')

-->

neuron
and ('capable of' some 'detection of light stimulus involved in visual perception')

This will be sufficient to classify photoreceptor cell under 'visual system neuron'. The text def should also be revised to match (currently doesn't mention visual perception at all). I think fine to exclude cells that can detect light outside of the visual system (e.g. due to cryptochrome expression).

Hit a problem with GO:

GO has

'detection of light stimulus involved in visual perception' SubClassOf 'detection of visible light'

=> bad inferences like this.

I think GO is wrong. Birds with UV receptors percieve images using those receptors. This is visual perception.
