Expected Behavior
OBS is used to stream video to YouTube. The stream is 24/7. The stream contains video from a RTSP streaming camera, overlays, and may other options. Specifically, the RTSP stream come from a camera that is inside a model locomotive (1:87 scale) The stream is imported into a web page with a graphic user inercafce for complete control of the locomotive ( with out instructions, just click on the bell or horn). See http://layout1.canadianlocomotivelogistics.ca:22080/web/webThrottleCLL.html?loconame=1
The camera is powered by the track, then rectified and regulated and with a 800 mA battery back up.
We build these cameras ourselves. see https://youtu.be/01ODAPDlozI
Sometimes the people running the trains turn the train layout off, which turns the track power off, and then camera eventually off. OBS keeps straming with out the RTSP streaming video coming in (great).
In the morning the people running the trains turn the train layout back on. This turns the track power on, and the caemra turns on, the RTPS stream then resumes.
OBS does not re-connect the RTSP stream.
I can open the property dialogue and click OK, and then the RTSP stream is restored.
Options for re-connect the camera are checked, but it does not work.
Current Behavior
So,
Currently I have to open the property dialogue box and then click on OK.
OBS finds the camera, rtsp://192.168.1.150:554 and all is good.
I'm wording why the re-connection is not automatic, when the RTSP stream is restored.
Steps to Reproduce
- After the stream is going. all is well.
- turn off the rtsp stream camera, wait 10 seconds
- turn on the rtsp camera
- wait...
- nothing happens,
- manually respart the connection with the caemra by opening the dialogue box, and closing it.
- them all is well again.
...
Anything else we should know?
Nope other than what I told you....
If not fixable, is there a script I can can to check the status of the RTSP stream and restart it?
You are more than welcome to test the RTSP stream yourself using rtsp://canadianlocomotivelogistics.ca:554
I opened a temporary portforwarding for you, to use.
PS the room light to the model train room are off at night on my layout, if you open the web page the room lights come on, give you better visibility with the camera, otherwise to might jsut see a black room.
Thank you in advance.
