GSoC 2018 Android Field Operations App Version 5

Project Idea and goals

The Mifos Android Client is currently in version 4. Now the app is still under development and this project aims at releasing the version 5. This will add exciting new features and significant enhancements. Some of the major additions are:

• Recently, significant new enhancements including work on client reports have been done. My goal would be to extend the client report by adding more fields moreover, adding reports categories like Savings, Loans, Funds and Accounting.

• Enhancing the Individual collections sheet by fragmenting the single fragment layout into multi-step three fragment layout would be the essential task.

• Automatic background sync of offline payloads to the server would using Android-job

• Enhancing the Create client, group, center fragment

• Enhancing the Identifier and Upload Document Dialog fragments.

Timeline

Week 1,2

• Enhancement of Create client, create group, create center fragments.
• Enhancing Dialog fragment for uploading documents, identifiers.

Week 3

• Fixed bugs in Client reports and added extra fields for offices, currencies etc.

Week 4,5

• Added report feature of loans, savings, funds, accounting.

Week 5,6,7

• Worked on the enhancement of Individual collection sheet into a three fragment layout.

Week 8,9

• Automatic sync of client, center, group, loan repayment, savings repayment payload using the Android-job.
