get_var_at_indices, netcdf uses get_vars -> get_var_slice and get_varm mapped slices. Do we pass raveled arrays for nd indices?
get/set_var/values , netcdf uses get_var, bmi uses get_values and get_var ~= get_value_ptr
logging constants where not applied correctly
