@mstormi

Could you please open new issues instead of commenting 10 month old pull requests?
No one is able to follow this, if he/she is not a heavy user of this repo with long term knowledge.

Anyways:

The changes seem to be transferred properly to http://next.openhab.org/docs/installation/openhabian.html#optional-components

This is how it works currently and this is how it was discussed and decided.

  • Everything between releases is transferred to the "next.openhab.org" page.
  • From what i read your usecase is different and we would need to sync changes directly into the stable repository
  • This is not intended so far
  • We would have to change docs syncing (which definetely would be useful for articles like openhiabian)

well I didn't want you to change processes because I think it won't happen often and I thought you can do a manual one-time sync that's why I've just triggered you via comment on an existing issue

With #1690 we have a proof of concept now, that solves the problem.

On top we will have the ability to trigger this from the openhabian repo itself in the nearer future with openhab/openhabian#1633
