Chrome issues, radial menu not displayed #1847
Comments
It did nothing, it did something wrong, it returned an error, or something else? Specificity is key. |
Orthogonalize works now if you press 'S'. Shortcut changed! Getting radial menu up seems harder now, single click does not bring it up (it does in Firefox), double click sometimes zooms in, sometimes zooms in and brings up radial menu. |
Yes, Orthogonalize (now "Square") and the new "Straighten" both use "S" shortcut since they are mutually exclusive and do a similar thing. I can't reproduce any problems with the radial menu. Any console output? |
No output. Trying to select a road I also can't select it every time, I need to double click it sometimes, hovering over the element and clicking on it does not make it selected. It is very odd, I remember this starting to happen last night in fact in 1.1 something, first time in all the weeks I've used iD. Chrome did auto-update 2 days ago... |
The selecting of a feature is still not working as before. Now trying to use the new extend line menu I can't access it, if I click on the endpoint of a road (in Chrome), with the intention of extending it, as soon as I click on the node it moves a couple of pixels to the left and is deselected. I have no way of selecting the node again. I'm starting to suspect a Chrome bug. |
Does it happen in incognito mode? Does it happen with Chrome Canary? |
Hmm, isn't this a duplicate of #1676? |
There it is, didn't find it. Yes this particular thing is part of #1676 I am uploading a video to show what its like and will post there. I see nothing in the JavaScript console. Still doesn't explain radial menu not behaving, same problems as above persist in incognito mode. |
Based on the latest findings in #1676 I have high confidence that the radial menu misbehavior is caused by the same bug. |
iD 1.2
Chrome: Version 29.0.1547.76 m
Created an area, tried to get radial menu up, no luck.
Hit Q for shortcut for orthogonalize, did not work, hit O for circular, that worked.
Tested in Firefox 24.0, radial menu and orthogonalize from shortcut both worked.
