thermochromic material group

I am a beginner. I did not find an entry point in OpenStudio Application 1.9 to create and define a thermochromic material group. Does this mean that I should export the simulation file and then make further modifications in EnergyPlus before running the simulation?

Linked to long-standing SDK issue. See here and here. Not sure why the issue isn't kept open, given that the class is available.

If one instantiates the object, one gets:

OS:WindowMaterial:GlazingGroup:Thermochromic,
  80,                                            !- Handle
  Window Material Glazing Group Thermochromic 1; !- Name

... which obviously isn't right, e.g. Optical Data Temperature (80°C) is set as its Handle. However, one can retrieve its true handle via the API, e.g.:

puts th_glazing.handle

{0f1b485b-ab38-4ec2-99d0-b75e2bdb8b07}

So the right attributes are indeed kept in memory - the object is simply not properly translated.

Suggest filing a new OpenStudio issue, or reopening a previously-closed one (e.g. this one). I suspect that any progress on the App side rests on some eventual SDK fix.
