Please, compare performance of current and new approaches.
As I remember, manual approach was faster some time ago

Yeh, the problem not the performance but with permissions loss (https://github.com/actions/upload-artifact?tab=readme-ov-file#permission-loss), so we need to wait for actions/upload-artifact#38
