If using KDE Plasma 5:

  1. Download the .AppImage file from https://github.com/ActivityWatch/activitywatch/releases (like https://github.com/ActivityWatch/activitywatch/releases/download/v0.12.3b10/activitywatch-linux-x86_64.AppImage) to wherever

    grep DOWNLOAD .config/user-dirs.dirs # https://stackoverflow.com/a/25055201/9731176

    states (probably $HOME/Downloads if you're using PowerShell Core 7+, bash, or sh) as, in this case, activitywatch-linux-x86_64.AppImage.

  2. Install https://flathub.org/apps/io.github.prateekmedia.appimagepool using https://dl.flathub.org/repo/appstream/io.github.prateekmedia.appimagepool.flatpakref.
