It could be an issue with poor internet connection. I had the same issue
and resolved it with below command,
git config --global http.postBuffer 4096M
I once homebrew installation is successful, reverted back to default
buffer size to 1M.
git config --global http.postBuffer 1M

I wanted to share this in case it helps someone else. I discovered that my network was blocking the connection for reasons I couldn't determine. To resolve the issue, I connected through my phone, and the installation was successful. |

Its not the speed of the internet connection, there's something else going on here. I have fiber and 1GB up/down and still was having this bizarre error, but only on this one command. I just connected to my phone hotspot temporarily and Homebrew installed fine. |
