Cask (any) install or update throws "Directory not empty @ dir_s_rmdir" error on mounted disk image (macos)

Description of issue

Any attempt to install or upgrade a cask that fails/tries to revert the install/upgrade also fails to clean up its environment, dumping an error like
Error: keepassxc: Directory not empty @ dir_s_rmdir - /private/tmp/d20230820-31308-1jz77k2

df shows that there is a disk image left mounted under /private/tmp/d20230820-31308-1jz77k2 (end path name varies per run), and umount /private/tmp/d*/dmg.* from my user will unmount it. (sudo not needed)

Upgrading a formula works without any problem.

Now that I look at more closely, there's probably some other issue that causing the Revert, but still, brew isn't cleaning up after itself. (so, I'll change the problem description)
