Downloading source notebook question

Hi everyone,

I’m building a teaching resource with TeachBook that includes a button or link for students to download the current notebook (.ipynb). However, when clicking the button, instead of downloading, the browser just opens the raw source of the notebook in a new tab. I’d like to know how to properly configure a JupyterBook “download notebook” button so that:
Clicking it forces a download rather than displaying the source.
Ideally, works consistently across browsers and hosting setups.

This is a feature of JupyterBooks, not of TeachBooks.

Essentially the link is missing the download parameter within the tag.

As a solution: rigth-click and choose Save as (or something similar).

Thank you. A quick review gives me that it should work.

I see you set the value of download to the extracted file name. If you leave the value empty or set it to "", it will always use the original filename, thereby allowing you to skip the file name extraction.
