Github Pages Private SubdomainsIs the generated submain for private Github Pages guaranteed to be never change? BodyHello. I have a private Github pages site at a generated subdomain : Everything is working. My question is will this subdomain ever change? I thought I saw this happen for a different repo but it is possible that someone else changed it at some point. So, if I never make any changes, will i always be able to access the GH Pages internally via |

Hello from the GitHub Pages team 👋 Excellent question! In the past, a private subdomain could change more often as it was randomly generated but we changed the behavior to make private Pages easier to work with. As long as you don't delete the Page by setting the source to branch / none, the generated subdomain will stay the same. You may see a change if you delete a Page and create a new one on the same repository - this is a new Page and part of how we generate the subdomain uses the Page's id. |
