Just want to weigh in that I’m having the same problem. On Claro mobile I’ve so far only found one site that doesn’t load, but on Vivo Fibra, nothing I’ve tried loads except for one website (repository). I’ve asked around and a person whose fiber is Giga+ can also access some websites, but not others (repo). It is absolutely not a problem on OP’s end. |

I'm having the same issue with any website that's hosted on GitHub Pages. Not just every Brazilian websites stopped working, any of them just doesn't load anymore. Everything was working pretty well 3 days ago. I think that it's not a GitHub's issue, but the Brazilian Government itself blocked the GitHub Pages DNS in Brazil, for some reason. Because I think it's very suspicious to it stop only in Brazil, even because the server are located in the US. |

It works using a local-Brazilian VPN service (e.g. public Universities' ones: Unesp and Unicamp), but not by the local ISP (e.g. Vivo, Claro, Cabonnet, InternetWay ...). |

Are there any workarounds for this issue? One of my dependencies requires access to Chrome for Testing, but the site is currently inaccessible. |

It's like GitHub Pages is blocking access to our IP or our ISP is blocking access to GitHub Pages, so the only way I see if I'm not mistaken is using a VPN |

This IBM/Red Hat website is also unavailable to me (https://docs.instructlab.ai/), even though they use their own domain. This shows that it is a block happening at the IP level. |

Vtal (formerly Oi) is also affected. Whenever I try to access a page that is hosted on Github Pages (or uses its features), it times out. The IP addresses always point to a Fastly CDN, the unreachable ones appear to be 185.199.108.153, 185.199.109.153, 185.199.110.153 and 185.199.111.153. Other Fastly IPs are fine. Edit: To complete the information provided, Vtal ASN is 7738. |

same thing for me, i cant access any github page, mine is https://irussao.github.io/ not working with my main ISP: OI FIBRA, but I can access it with VPN. nerdfonts works because it uses the ipv6 AAAA dns registry. try to use AAAA that points to the gh pages ipv6 on your personal website |

Então, eu também não tenho muitos detalhes. Tem dias que estou tentando conseguir resolver isso, mas aí resolvi enviar ticket para o suporte do github e ele só mencionou que era um bloqueio ip no brasil e muitas pessoas estão sendo afetadas. Além disso, eles estariam tentando resolver isso, mas não deram muito detalhes. |

Uso Vivo e provedores locais Cabonnet e Internet Way, ambos do interior de São Paulo. Tb tenho acesso via Unesp e Unicamp. Talvez a barreira tenha sido acionada para IPSs específicos e eu tive a sorte de estar fora dessa. Espero q esta hipótese não se torne um loop infinito. |

It is also possible to resolve the issue using any VPN that routes the IPs 185.199.108.153, 185.199.109.153, 185.199.110.153, and 185.199.111.153. In my case, I am currently using WireGuard to route only these IPs. The problem seems to be exclusively with IPv4, as mentioned, because on mobile networks the sites load normally, likely because they use IPv6. |

Maybe there is a DNS Server (enabled DNSSec) in your route with an outdated timezone table. The BRST used to start in November, and the DNSSec drops requests with wrong matching time. Try to change the DNS in your settings (like 8.8.8.8) and the problem will be solved. |

Se olharem no roteadores do Brasil no Looking Glass da Vtal verão que não
há rotas válidas para os 4 IPs que ofertam o CDN do Github. Trocar o DNS
não mudará em nada porque em todos os casos serão resolvidos para os mesmos
destinos. O problema aqui é rota.
Dados todos os indícios até aqui publicados, parece-me que o indicativo de
decisão judicial de bloqueio parece válido. Por outro lado, imagino que as
outras grandes tenham recebido a mesma decisão, o que me faz perguntar o
porquê só a Oi parece ter bloqueado o Github.io inteiro.
Que solução tecnológica diferente elas usaram para não impactar todos os
serviços do CDN? Além da Oi, tenho acesso a Claro, Starlink, Equinix e
Telefonica. Não noto o problema em nenhuma das outras.

I think the GitHub Page uses Fastly's dedicated IPs, so it would be easy to block just the range. My internet here is regional to the west of Bahia, it was blocked for more than 5 days, but fortunately now everything is ok, when it was blocked, changing to Cloudflare or Google DNS didn't work for me. I'm curious to understand what happened. Probably some court order, people host illegal things on GitHub pages and then we pay the price. |

Hello, all github.io pages websites in Brazil are currently down when trying to access from some ISPs.
Our webpage is https://qiskit-fall-fest-2024-brasil.github.io/
but many others from Brazil are down too, like
https://coronavirusbra1.github.io/
https://brazil-data-cube.github.io/
https://afucher.github.io/
https://lucasrafaldini.github.io/
https://matheuslaidler.github.io/
I tested with 2 ISPs.
In one of them, NetVirtua, with IPV4 the websites won't load
but enabling IPV6 on my Ethernet adapter, everything gets back to normal
With the second ISP, Vivo, neither IPV4 nor IPV6 works:
But if I turn on a VPN, even setting the connection to the same country where the problem is happening, Brazil, everything works normally:
This is happening only for Brazil. I used some free website availability services with these results:

I believe the problem is probably on Github CDN, not on the ISPs, since every other site is working normally.
It's very frustrating since I trusted GitHub pages with my website and didn't bought a custom domain for it, so now I'm stuck, GitHub pages has no direct customer support except for enterprise accounts.
So I'm posting the issue here in the expectation someone can see it.
