Accidentally added a participant when sending the code via Github Dekstop #51025
-
Select Topic AreaQuestion BodyI was writing a program with a friend. He left half an hour before the end, and I finished alone. When I finished, I went into the github applications and recorded the changes. I remembered that a friend said that he would create a profile today, and entered his nickname without looking that the nickname was not found. And some strange guy was added as a co-author. Is there any way to remove it? Or should I write to him to remove himself?

Hi there :)! Yes! If I understood well you can remove the co-author from your commit to GitHub. Here's what you can do:
In that manner, the co-authorship attribution should have been removed. I have another question, maybe correlated: was the co-author added by accident as a collaborator or contributor to your project? In that case, you may also need to remove their access from the project. Please, let me know if it works. I hope this helps :)! |
