How to push code from Replit to Github?

Why cannot push my code from Replit to Github? It states the file name is the same, I already delete it on Github and rename the files on Replit and repeat the same way and vice versa on Github and Replit but it still cannot be done. Please help me.

You should be able to push code from Replit to GitHub. Please see below steps that you can try to connect the accounts.

1. Open the Replit project that you want to push to GitHub.
2. Click on the "Version Control" tab on the left-hand side of the Replit window.
3. Click on the "Connect to GitHub" button and follow the prompts to authenticate with your GitHub account.
4. Once you've connected your Replit project to GitHub, you should see a list of your GitHub repositories in the "Version Control" tab.

I found it as "Git" in the left "Tools" section of the editor

Thank you so much it really worked i found the control version on the git icon and finally I've reposited the project in my github

I have problems with that. It states " Ensure you don't already have a repository on GitHub with the name "resume_1" and try again. " 1. I have tried to delete the repo on GitHub and Replit and push again but the same thing occurs again. 2. I tried to disconnect and reconnect my Github with my Replit and tried to push again but the same thing happened again. How to resolve this?

It's rewritten under the word "Git" on the lower right side of the workspace.

It's on tools on the bottom left of your Replit. It's the GIT tool.

I toggled through and finally found in the left bar in the middle green icon with Git on it and from there I managed to finally push my repository to Github..

I found that Git icon and manage to open that tab, and there's a section that allows me to create the repo on Github from there. But when I go to Github and view the repo, the repo is created but empty, no code files have been transferred from Replit to it. There's also no buttons or things like that to interact with the repo on Github. Could you please advise? Thanks.

Well done buddy I found it too, just was gonna update message in the morning. But thanks for prompt reply. All good, however Replit interface is still a rabbit hole a bit to navigate if you are as novice as I am.

I think the most trickiest part is the activation of access takes some time, during which (due to my impatience) you screw up even setup which is good. E.g. I deleted the repository few times to make it clean for replit but replit has cached the deleted repo and prohibits all actions now due "Cannot push due to unpulled changes" of the repository I deleted some time ago.

I gave it one hour and probably will wait until they fix it now.

Yeah git usually gets that error Ensure you don't already have a repository on GitHub with the name "name" and try again. Maybe try downloading the repl as a zip and then uploading it on your github repository?

I have connected my github and replit mobile, On the app it says code has been pushed. But when i check my github it's Empty 🤷🏿‍♀️

Use the repl.it shell and run git directly, probably what you're accustomed to, much less of a hassle lol (You can find the "Shell" utility by searching)

It might not be the best solution, but with this tool you can download from replit to your pc, and then you can upload from your pc to github.
