Hello We have previously added CodeSpaces DevContainer to our Open Source .NET CMS Repo - Now with Github Universe announcing 60+ Hours for all for FREE, we now see this as an opportunity to help first timers to the project and to make their first contribution ❤️ I am not sure if we use Slack Connect feature but our Slack domain is |

Hello, I would love to join your Slack, please. Currently, I'm adopting dev containers in @KusionStack to help our new users to try our tools in Konfig repo with out-of-box prebuilt dependencies and tools. I've created a kusion feature and adopted devcontainers with a .devcontainer.json. Devcontainers really helps us to provide a quick start trial to our users. Thanks for your outstanding jobs. |

I might be misunderstanding but something has been driving me crazy. I create a new dev container using one of the templates (such as nodejs) If I close the remote connection the local project doesn't have any of the .devcontainer files or any file I create in my workspace (despite the devcontainter json having the mount specified). I have done this so many times where I have created a project in vscode, created a new dev container, tweaked either the devcontainer.json or docker file and broken the container. Which means I can then never get in to the container to fix the problem and any work I have done is seemingly lost. Am I missing an obvious thing here. I thought creating a dev container would create local files on my host system that get run to create a container, but it almost seems like they are only in a container themselves which is really confusing me that I stopped using the command new dev containers and instead I just manually create the .devcontainer folder and files. Why is the behavior happening is this by design as using the menu to scaffold is really handy but not if it doesn't actually persist the files correctly |

What is the current plan for alternative ways to request access without publicly providing an email address and without paying for a LinkedIn account? It has been many months since this was said to be in the works. |
