License: Commercial use?

Can micro be used as a framework for commercial applications? Put another way, can I use micro to build a commercial application (for instance, a point of sale and inventory tracking) and then sell licenses to that application, whether cloud-hosted/SaaS or on-premise self hosted?
I understand Polyform Shield was picked so that AWS does not build a managed service around micro. But if we're building non-competing commercial applications that seem like it complies with the license. Thoughts?

Lastly, I think the New Products clause implies that if your company decides to build a commercial point of sale and inventory tracking system that competes with my commercial product, I can no longer use any updated version of micro. Is this accurate? Seems like a heavy business risk if so.

You can build commercial products on Micro. We only expect that you don't sell Micro. We likely won't enforce anything around competing services on top but I'll review the license and give some thoughts around it. Even if we did enforce that it would only be for future version but I think it's not our goal. We want to create a fair and open platform for everyone. It's just a balancing act between that and the actions of AWS.
