Does skip support combine?

Skip supports a minimal subset of Combine in the SkipModel framework. You can see what API is supported here:

skip-model 0.8.1 includes AnyPublisher.init(_: Publisher) and Publisher.eraseToAnyPublisher().

Please let us know if you run into any issues!

Also note that if you want functions like compactMap, they're not hard to implement. You can use the implementations of other functions like map() as examples. For Publishers we've chosen to do the implementation in Kotlin, so the summary is that you stub out the new functions in Publisher.swift and then implement them in Publisher.kt. Kotlin is enough like Swift that with the help of the existing examples, you'll likely be able to implement additional functionality even if you don't have experience with the language.

As a final step, add a unit test case and run the test suite against the Mac (only running the tests on the Mac will transpile, build, and run on Android too)

Good to know re: .compactMap, happy to contribute. I am looking to build a new onboarding flow for my iOS-only app in a few weeks and I'm hoping to start fresh with code that I can deploy to both platforms, while slowly migrating the rest for Android compatability.

If I use "any Publisher" I'll need a different implementation for eraseToAnyPublisher
Then there is the Fail publisher the doesn't get resolved

Ex:

I'm afraid this pattern is going to fail for several other reasons as well. You would find writing cross-platform Swift more frictionless by moving from Combine to async functions
