<b>What steps will reproduce the problem?</b>
1. run server, open studio at localhost:2480
2. connect to demo db pops out login dialog
3. neither reader/reader nor writer/writer lets me in

<b>What is the expected output? What do you see instead?</b>
should log me in the demo database

checked out latest code from svn and compiled
databases folder is empty. has all rwx rights for everyone
