I think we should bump this up and we should implement settings for wifi only uploads to take care of users mobile data plans. @michaelstingl

Is it so that currently the instant upload in the background is not implemented?

I have in app permissions:

• read/write to photos enabled
• background update enabled
• mobile data enabled

In the ownCloud-app:

• auto upload photos enabled
• auto upload videos enabled

Only way to keep instant uploading on is to keep app open and screen on.

@souni photo and video upload does only work, when the app is in foreground for the new ownCloud iOS app.

@hosy Then it should not be named auto upload. At least this behaviour should be noted there.

@souni it does an automatically upload, but only when the app is in foreground at the moment. Apple did some changes with background uploads. We try to get a solution for better background support.
