I don't really see the point of the Netbox DNS plugin without this.

Seems building an image with the netbox-plugin-dns stuff built-in breaks the tests from the vanilla netbox. Some database item can no-longer be deleted because it has child objects now. |

Bah! Fixing the tests properly means forking the netbox-community/netbox repo so we can customize the tests there. This does not seem like a worthwhile course. |
