Data Providers
Platform.Bible exposes data providers on the PAPI for extensions to use. Feel free to interact with these providers in your own extensions. Following are important data providers for use in Scripture-related activities.
The following project data providers provide access to project data related to Scripture.
The Paratext Standard Project Data Provider provides project data for projects that are specifically saved on disk in Paratext 9 format.
This Project Data Provider operates on projects of projectType ParatextStandard.
Note: a number of the API functions are not yet implemented.
WARNING: This project data provider may be deprecated and/or removed in subsequent updates. It is currently intended to be a quick head start on getting Scripture data.
The Platform Scripture Project Data Provider provides project data for Scripture projects.
Note: this will replace the Paratext Standard Project Data Provider and will likely operate very similarly but will work with more projects.
The Project Notes Data Provider provides project note information for Scripture projects.
Note that code style and other such documentation is stored in the Paranext wiki and covers all Paranext repositories.
