Open file menu view corrupted

The opening file dialog does not update the screen when needed. E.g. click on a directory in the breadcrumb navigation and apparently nothing happens (when it has switched into that directory, really).

This seems to behave better now than in the early versions, but when you click in the breadcrumb navigation, the screen often becomes corrupted (old content from previous directory view remains on the screen).
I often have to click back and forth in the breadcrumb navigation to actually get a proper view.
