keyword argument error in conf.py #30
Comments
Try the version from this github repo here, it should read your email and other settings without any issue. The logging in is a different issue, due to google's upgrade to the web interface this week, a few days ago. See #27. |

I just tried pygooglevoice for the first time, and version 0.5.2 (from pip) gave me an error when it tried to read my email out of the .gvoice config file. (For what it's worth, I'm using Python 3.5.2) The error occurs in the get method of conf.py:
TypeError: get() got an unexpected keyword argument 'raw'
I was able to fix the error by simply adding the keyword argument raw=True to the call to get. (The error was occurring in a ConfigParser string processing procedure that only runs when raw==False. I doubt that reading the settings in the .gvoice file as raw strings is likely to cause side effects.) My corrected get method line is:
return ConfigParser.get(self, section, option, raw=True).strip() or None
This corrects the problem on my installation, but I am completely new to GitHub and don't know the usual method of reporting the problem I encountered and fixing it for others.
(I'm also get a LoginError every time the code tries to log in to Google, but that's another issue entirely. I've had no success in getting around the LoginError even after verifying the correct login URL in settings.py)
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
