- 当 [`LOCK TABLES`](/sql-statements/sql-statement-lock-tables-and-unlock-tables.md) 的表锁类型设置为 `READ` 时，将该变量设置为 `ON` 可以缓存点查结果，减少重复查询的开销，从而提高单点查询的性能。
