Per build errors, our version of numpy and some dataclass-related syntax, at least, was beyond Python 3.5. Closing. |

Not for merging, just a quick trial to get a testing read on how far functionality on Py3.5 has broken in 9 months since #2713/#2715 approved removing Py3.5 from CI builds/testing.
