Consider this stacked subplot:

image

The axes are linked and zoom is only enabled in the x direction.

When you click-drag to zoom, only one subplot shows the zoom preview window. But after zoom executes, all 3 subplots are zoomed in. This is disorienting when the x axes are linked like in this plot. It looks like you're going to zoom-in on only one subplot, but then all 5 subplots update.

Yep, that would be cool!

Here's another great subplot example that could really benefit from a coordinated zoom box:

Any progress on this issue? Is it possible to have a zoom region over all lines at once?

is this resolved by the new axis-matching attr? #1549

Hi - this issue has been sitting for a while, so as part of our effort to tidy up our public repositories I'm going to close it. If it's still a concern, we'd be grateful if you could open a new issue (with a short reproducible example if appropriate) so that we can add it to our stack. Cheers - @gvwilson
