error: pmemobj_root failed
pmempool_sync/TEST18 failed with exit code 1.

A factor common to all of the reported reproductions, till now, is the same runner: supermicro14.
The runner has been disabled to check whether it can happen to other runners as well.

The current interpretation of these events is that this test exposes a weakness of some hardware instances. It might be related to issues observed in nature, e.g. https://daosio.atlassian.net/browse/DAOS-12968
