I'm not seeing any regressions. I couldn't recreate the crackling behavior, but several people say it helps with that.

I've continued to have uninterrupted audio performance today after applying the change locally.

I wish i could say what would help reproduce the crackling. It was pretty consistent for me from various programs, I tried managing audio rate settings with pipewire configs but it didn't help (at least not completely). Currently I don't have any custom pipewire config (that i know of).

I do have some audio software installed, such as Jack, but I don't believe it is involved with changing any realtime priority while it isn't running.
