sqlite-net-pcl 1.9.172 issue with new google policy "Android 16 will require 16 KB page sizes"

Google play store has came with an requirement that need to be addressed before Nov 1, 2025
"App must support 16 KB memory page sizes"

The output window when building the .NET maui android app shows following warning:
XA0141: Android 16 will require 16 KB page sizes, shared library 'libe_sqlite3.so' does not have a 16 KB page size. Please inform the authors of the NuGet package 'SQLitePCLRaw.lib.e_sqlite3.android' version '2.1.2' which contains 'C:\Users\user-name.nuget\packages\sqlitepclraw.lib.e_sqlite3.android\2.1.2\lib\net6.0-android31.0\SQLitePCLRaw.lib.e_sqlite3.android.aar'. See https://developer.android.com/guide/practices/page-sizes for more details.

Please provide the new version of "sqlite-net-pcl" package to support the 16 KB page size before the deadline. Otherwise, I won't be able to update my android app on the play store

I have tried upgrading the package to "1.10.196-beta", but still same issue

Anyone know what the plan is going forward? Do we need to use the sqlite-net-e package or will sqlite-net-pcl be updated?

I plan to do a regular non-preview release of SQLite-net-e next week.

I would also do a release of SQLite-net-PCL whenever @praeclarum adds me as a package maintainer on nuget.

But you now have both bundle_green and bundle_e_sqlite3, which will cause problems.

My app is net9.0-android and net9.0-ios (non-MAUI). I replaced all the sqlite-net-pcl and SQLitePCLRaw packages in my Core, Droid, and iOS projects with this:

Initial testing result is no code changes, no errors, and no 16KB page size warning (for the Android app).

@ericsink I just moved to sqlite-net-e. I included this:

Builds ok on Windows, and on my local mac, but build fails in my Azure pipeline with the below error:

fatal error: /Applications/Xcode_16.4.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/install_name_tool: cannot rename /Users/runner/work/1/s/NetCore/Client/PDSX/obj/Release/net9.0-ios/ios-arm64/nativelibraries/libe_sqlite3.dylib.tmp to obj/Release/net9.0-ios/ios-arm64/nativelibraries//libe_sqlite3.dylib.tmp.XXXXXX (No such file or directory)

Any thoughts?

FYI. My Azure pipeline build was successful yesterday. .NET 9.0.305, Xcode 16.4, and sqlite-net-e 1.11.0 for the iOS app.

Yes, I should have clarified it builds ok for iOS. I was able to run it on iPad emulator. We are only targetting iOS and Android.

I reverted the change back to sqlite-net-pcl and Azure build works again, so it does appear to be related to the sqlite-net-e package or SourceGear.sqlite3

Understood, but there's still a mystery here that I would like to solve. Can you provide more info? Like your csproj file? A minimal reproduction project?
