Description of the bug

The cut connector (neg volume) is not in place but floats in the air. This was OK in alpha 4.

2 Screenshots, same cut once in alpha 4, the same in alpha 5.

I tried this also. It seems to make the connector but when it is sliced there are no holes. I selected Dowel option. it created separate dowels on bed, but also had some ones floating in the air. Also, Now very hard to get a simple cut parallel to be d with new tool. Constantly getting strange angles. I suggest doing what blender does. click z and you can only adjust z position, for example when moving cut.

Assuming my bug report is exactly related, it will be after the part was rotated. Did you rotate the part before doing the cut?

Yes, I turned this model 90° after importing it.
