This implements all config changes in #109, except for two:
"allowNoExtension" still exists. This will be replaced later with a global server-side blacklist/whitelist feature.
"culture" still exists on the server-side. This will be removed in a standalone PR later, as it will require touch over 300 lines across all the connectors.
