Merging these on the basis that it's better to at least have a working email address. Maybe PyPA should have better contact details, but that's probably a separate discussion. |

My assumption was (and I'm chipping in because this is my reservation here) that the concern is that distutils-sig isn't really the best contact point for the pip maintainers, it's just the only email address that we can use. Most actual pip interactions should happen on the tracker or Discourse, these days. Personally, I don't even know if IRC is that good of a channel. So the whole document is a bit inaccurate anyway... |

I didn't realise my review was posted. I was basically didn't want to say "uh I don't like this" without providing context and, well, it was 4am and I figured I should sleep instead. What @pfmoore said, is basically what I was thinking. I think this is fine, for now. I'll ask Ernest and see if we can get something like pip@pypa.io to become a thing. :) |
