How I can add xml tags or set new values in document.xml

for example I want to add

  <w:pPr>
    <w:bidi/>
    <w:spacing w:after="0" w:lineRule="auto"/>
  </w:pPr>

in the top for each paragraph in the document, is that doable using docx instead of unzip the word document?

The library is missing a definition for the bidi tag. Otherwise it would be possible. Pull Request #307 enables the following:

for PP in  d.paragraphs:
   PP._p.get_or_add_pPr().get_or_add_bidi()
   PP._p.pPr.spacing_after = 0
