The French translation is managed at: https://git.afpy.org/AFPy/python-docs-fr while the github repository is just a mirror, I am not sure what impact this has on the team, I presume it does not work on both?

Instructions for contributing to the French translation can be found in the README: https://git.afpy.org/AFPy/python-docs-fr#readme

@ewdurbin Does the proofreader team still exist? There are a few issues open where people want to join for quite a while.

Hi @StanFromIreland. Yes, the @python/proofreaders team does exist. Users can be added once approved by members of that team.

Closing, as I think the request was to help with the French translation rather than to join the proofreaders team. But re-open if this is wrong.
