• Why did the unused variable produce a compile time error instead of a warning? How did you compile it? Maybe we can use the same way to compile to find such unused variables in the future.
• Why not landing this PR Fix compile error #2972 instead of reverting the entire [CPU] Support int8 scaled embedding bag #2938?

it's because many internal tests are failing so would be hard to verify if the fix is enough or not one by one
