Add Study Keywords or tags

Searching over keywords might remove the ambiguity of searching over an abstract.

We might also want to sort studies by keywords?

Do you mean tags that each individual user can apply to a study, and the tags are only visible to the user that created them? Or do you mean tags that are applied to the study itself, visible to all users and set by the study's creator?

I mean tags that a user can apply when they create their study that are publicly searchable.

So, if I have a study of the honey bee microbiome and metabolome, maybe I tag it with words like insect, honey, hive, 16S, 18S, metabolomics...
And then, if you want to search for insect microbiomes, it helps filter.

The first tag should be, gold: see list here: #1391.

Some decisions made during today's Qiita meeting - note that this can be changed as we use this feature:

• New tags can only be only generated/added by admins, we will add a link saying something like: "Want more tags? Send us an email"
• Users can link/add tags to their own studies (within the list of the system, see previous point) and Admins can add to any study
• Tags shouldn't be confused with metadata so more tags about the metadata will not be permitted
• We will start with the Gold tag but I can add more tags if required, please post here or send them via email.

User tagging is a very useful feature as long as they can be ignored in searches at user option... @rob-knight we agree that it can be really useful, however we didn't came up with any useful tag that is not already part of the metadata, and we are moving towards adding the metadata search with the redbiom efforts

What about tagging by first author in a publication, rather than PI? I can remember Yatsunenko 2012 as the Age & Geography, but I might not remember its listed under Jeff Gordon?

That is a good idea - probably worth creating the tags automatically from the pubmed id or DOI to avoid human error?

This is an excellent example of why the "Study Alias" is useful and why we should add to the general study search ("Filter results by column data (Title, abstract, PI, etc):"). For example that study's name is "Human gut microbiome differentiation viewed across cultures, ages and families illumina - ID 850" and alias "yatsunenko_global_gut_illumina". I think this makes more sense that the proposed solution. What do you guys think?
