0.9 - Standalone Plane
Standalone plane
This mod is now a standalone plane VL3 Racing 915 iS alongside the good old VL3 Evolution.
This will have two consequences for you:
- The liveries intended for the original VL3 will no longer be applied to this version.
- This mod will now be provided with its own liveries.
Since version 0.8, modifications have been made on the behavior of the aircraft making it even closer to reality (ailerons, flaps, rudder, etc.). This update improves in particular the stall speeds which were too low before.
A new livery has also been made by TalonHawk, included directly in the mod.
Beta version
As we are flying this plane for some days now, we can tell that this mod is now in a form of "beta" version (it's not that experimental anymore and you could fly without major issues).

In order to get as close as possible to the real engine, small modifications have been made.
min_cruise_rpm
lowered from 1800 to 1400. Idle RPM is not the same value everywhere on internet but this value looks more accurate.max_rated_hp
from 142 to 141. 142 HP was a rounding up, it is now a rounding down as it looks more close to reality.

- Fuel capacity to 18.5 gallons for each tank, so it’s 37 gallons total according to website specifications (140 l)
- Some modifications in reference speed section (200KTAS cruise speed, 100 KTS climb speed)
