We want to ensure that it’s very convenient and easy to use and deploy as part of your services so we offer the ability to provision PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis and MongoDB natively in the platform. Render only offers PostgreSQL and Redis natively and allows you install other alternatives via blueprints.

+Render charges a base amount for compute (CPU and Memory) for using a managed database plus storage while we charge **for only what you use** in compute and storage. For example, if you use only 2 GB (RAM) and 1 CPU, we will charge you for only that plus storage.

+Render provides SSH access to your services on their platform.

+Currently, we don’t provide SSH access at the moment, but it’s on the horizon and will be available by Q1 2025.
