This breaks our gulp scripts, which are mainly used to compile the java code when bundling the server and jdt.ls extensions into the vscode extension.
We'll need to manually adapt our Gulp scripts if we wish to migrate to version 5. However, they have yet to update their documentation as to what's changed.
This is due to 1. a bug in our gulp script and 2. an upstream gulp bug/behaviour change: https://github.com/gulpjs/gulp/issues/2794

I made changes to the gulpfile to fix the bug in it, so it works now

Works well for me, and npm audit
is clean. I did notice :
WARNING in ./node_modules/follow-redirects/debug.js 7:14-30
Module not found: Error: Can't resolve 'debug' in '/home/rgrunber/git/vscode-quarkus/node_modules/follow-redirects'
Did you mean './debug'?
Requests that should resolve in the current directory need to start with './'.
Requests that start with a name are treated as module requests and resolve within module directories (node_modules).
If changing the source code is not an option there is also a resolve options called 'preferRelative' which tries to resolve these kind of requests in the current directory too.

but the follow-redirects warning was mentioned upstream and then was closed for other reasons.
If those aren't an issue feel free to merge.
