Updated Kokoro-Fast, Open WebUi - voice broken #168
-
I suspect this is an Open WebUI issue (see #8685), but FWIW voices have stopped working altogether. At one point "am_michael" worked, even after trying "af_kore" or "am_adam" unsuccessfully. The only exceptions from Kokoro-Fast were discussed elsewhere, and AFAIK are irrelevant.

Updated everything that touches TTS, including Win 11, and TTS still fails. Using FastKoko still "speaks, although there's still an upper bound to how much text can be handled at once. |

I changed the Admin:Audio setting for Text-To--Speech engine to
http://host.docker.internal:8880/v1
and Open WebUI is back to talking to me.
This replaces
http://localhost:8880/v1
At this point I have no idea whether the localhost URL was entered by mistake at some point, or it worked earlier, then stopped working. Be that as it may, if Kokoro-FastAPI's running on Docker, Open WebUI speaks.
